DIMENSIONS: Base (interior): 9.75”D X 1.5”H Dome:(interior) 10.25” D X 5”H Overall (exterior)11.5” D X 8”H (without handle) USE AND CARE: Seasoning: Be sure to season the base before using for the first time. It is not necessary to season the lid. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Rinse the baker with water and wipe with a sponge, then dry with a towel. Generously fill the base about ¾ of the way with vegetable or canola oil. Place the baker in an oven for 20 minutes, then let it cool for 2-4 hours. Pour the cooled oil into a bowl for future use. Wipe off the excess oil with a dry cloth then use it within the next few days. Wipe the base with oil for the next 2-3 times before baking. Note that the stoneware will darken the more it is used. This is completely normal and means that it is developing a nice, non-stick surface. Cleaning: Cool the baker to room temperature before cleaning. Never use soap on unglazed stoneware. Simply scrape off any remaining food particles and scrub under hot water. Towel or air dry. Do not put in the dishwasher.
